Hi there,
Just to be clear, are you looking for articles/books/research on the use of
profanity in the cinema from a historical point of view, and if so are you
interested in censorship debates and how creative ways were found to get
around some restrictions (like the wonderfully indirect "If you had a
mother, she'd bark") or simply material on contemporary works like
TRAINSPOTTING (or my particular swear fest, De Palmas's SCARFACE) where it
is more a transgressive/linguistic issue?
Are you only interested in paper resources or are you also interested in
television programmes and documentaries on the subject?
