Has anyone developed their own, distinctive 'brand image' (i.e. logo,
house style etc) which significantly differs from that of the parent
organisation or which is used in conjunction with it? Our corporate
colours are red and grey, we use the University approved fonts and logo,
it is all very tasteful but isn't distinct and immediately identifiable
as the University library service.
If you do have your own 'brand image', did you develop this in house,
using approved contractors or an external consultant? And did you have
any difficulties in selling the idea of a distinctive image for your
service to your parent body?
