Hi all,
Here's another cautionary tale of transferred journals ...
Agricultural History was until recently a University of California
journal, and could be found on the Caliber service going back to 2001.
In January the content completely disappeared from its old home, with no
indication of where it had gone. After some investigation we discovered
that the Agricultural History Society are now providing access to this
title through Metapress, but until today there was no content at all -
today the current issue seems to have appeared, but no archive.
Our subscription data has not been carried across, and I am told that it
will take 'several weeks' for access to be enabled to this title.
In this case I suspect that the blame lies solely with the society, who
have again disregarded the rights of their subscribers and customers by
allowing content to be removed from Caliber before it is ready to be
made available on Metapress. Now in mid-February I watch with interest
to see how long it takes for the 2001- content to be made available.
Best wishes
Louise
