The Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) have taken a five-
year consortial agreement with Emerald Group Publishing who will provide
CAUL’s 1.1 million users with access to Emerald’s high quality collection
of online digital journals and databases.
Established in 1965, CAUL’s members are library directors whose parent
institutions are full members of the Australian Vice-Chancellors’
Committee. It seeks to ensure a common voice and representation for all
university libraries, provide a forum for discussion, and promote common
interests. CAUL’s consortial purchasing program, CEIRC, comprises 39
Australian and eight New Zealand universities, plus another 26 research
institutions, government departments and academic institutions in
Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
