This year's Academic Music Librarians' Seminar will take place in the
Board Room of Birmingham Conservatoire on Wednesday 9 May from 1.30pm.
This seminar is open to all library staff in the university and
conservatoire sectors whose remit includes music and provides a forum
for exchange of experience on issues which concern us. There is no
charge for those attending.
Speakers are sought from among potential delegates to give short
presentations of around 15-20 minutes on topics of interest. In recent
years these have included special collections, institutional projects,
user education and e-learning among others. We also hope to continue
the tradition of inviting a sympathetic musicologist to address us on an
issue of relevance to the liaison between music libraries and
researchers.
Further information about enrolling for the seminar will be
disseminated in due course. In the mean time any suggestions for
presentations should be sent to me please.
Many thanks - Geoff
