The negotiators esp Peter Holden have been trying to get it changed for
ages. Maybe it's time for another push in the light of modern ways of
working, diverse healthcare professionals etc etc? These discussion are
the sort of thing that just go on in the background, they don,t cause
big discussions at GPC.
Interestingly it does seem to me that you could honestly sign a Med 5
for a patient you have not seen on the basis of a written record of a
telephone consultation they'd had with someone else. Or maybe even
yourself. What does the team think?
