SGBV Evaluation
UNHCR will shortly be commissioning an independent evaluation of its efforts to
prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in situations of
forced displacement. The project is intended to assess the effectiveness and
impact of UNHCR's SGBV-related initiatives, and on this basis to make
recommendations for future policies, programmes, projects and partnerships.
UNHCR intends to engage a multidisciplinary, multinational and gender-balanced
team of consultants for this evaluation, provisionally scehduled to take place
from April 2007 until the end of the year or early 2008.
At the moment, UNHCR would like to receive expressions of interest from
corporate entities (e.g. consultancy companies, research instiutes, academic
departments, etc.) to whom we can later address the formal Terms of Reference
and request for proposals. Bids from inidividual consultants will not be
considered.
