Hi Isabel
some thoughts
On the home page it shows Links to things without explaining what they
are - how does someone know they might want to follow the MIDAS link?
This is linked to my view that the whole standards area needs to be
made more accessible to no technical professionals, to encourage local
community Groups and Societies to use them when designing their
systems.
Hope that will do for starters?
best wishes

Dear All
I think we have an opportunity to develop the FISH website as a
practical resource for all of us in the sector, as well as the wider
community. We can provide a site giving users an overview of what
standards are out there, and what they are designed and used for. We can
provide direct links to online standards and tools (FISH Toolkit, MIDAS
etc), and contact details for organisations, factsheets and other
supporting information.
It was minuted at the last FISH Members meeting that we would put
together a wishlist for the FISH website as a preliminary to a
substantial update/revamp.
There are various housekeeping issues that can be implemented at the
same time as a significant revamp, but basic information updates aside,
what do people want to see on the FISH website and what kind of
facility/profile do people want to see it develop?
To get this started, it would be good to hear any specific suggestions,
needs or ideas you already have. . .
so over to you. . .
Kind regards
Isabel Holroyd
