The British Psychological Society Annual Conference, 21-23 March 2007
Registration is still open for the British Psychological Society Annual
Conference to be held on 21-23 March 2007 at York Conference Park. See
the conference website for details www.bps.org.uk/ac2007
The Annual Conference is the flagship event in the Society's calendar. The
programme features keynotes and symposia involving internationally
recognised scholars, as well as specialist workshops to develop research
skills. There will be many opportunities for meeting colleagues and
networking, and a full programme of social events will be provided,
including a welcome reception, networking buffet and gala dinner.
Keynotes at this year's conference are:
Dr Susan Folkman, University of San Francisco
Professor Charles Spence, Oxford University
Professor Emeritus David Rennie, York University, Toronto
Professor Martin Conway, University of Leeds
Dr John Livesley, University of British Columbia
Professor Alice Eagly, Northwestern University, Illinois
Furthermore, for Chartered Psychologists, the Conference provides an
opportunity to enhance your CPD Summary Log by taking advantage of the
formal and informal learning opportunities available.
The Annual Conference offers exceptional value for money, as delegate
registration for members is just £120 for the full conference package (£50
concessions).
The Rt Hon Baron Roy Hattersley will guest as after dinner speaker at the
Annual Gala Dinner on Thursday 22nd March, held at the National Railway
Museum in York.
The British Psychological Society look forward to welcoming delegates to
the charming mediaeval city of York. Full of narrow streets and winding
lanes, it is one of the UK's most treasured cities.
