Fixing the mosaic spread durign cell refinement or integration.
To comment further on Anita's recent reply.
The keywords "POSTREF FIX MOSAIC" should correctly fix the mosaic
spread at the input value (although it will still be refined) both
when entered using the "Keyword Input" menu option with the GUI or
when included in the keywords used to start up the program,
eg:
image hg_001.mar1600
postref fix mosaic
go
This certainly works for both the latest version of MOSFLM (6.2.6) and
the previous version (6.2.5). Unfortunately I do not have an
executable of version 6.2.4 (the one Anita was using) to be able to
reproduce the problem she was having.
If others have the experience that this option does NOT work correctly
with version 6.2.6 then please let me know.
While there is nothing wrong with the keywords that Anita suggested
(POSTREF USEBEAM OFF), my own feeling is that this is less intuitive
and this option may be removed in the future.
It is worth emphasising again that these keywords will NOT prevent
refinement of the mosaic spread, it is simply that the refined value
is ignored during the processing, only the input value is actually
used. This is deliberate, because it allows one to see if there is any
systematic variation in the mosaic spread over the images being
processed, even when the same (input) value is actually being used for
all images. This might provide useful feedback that the input value is
not actually the best one to use.
