Research Assistant
Work, Interaction and Technology
King's College London
As part of an EPSRC project 'Pervasive Support for Market Trading' we
are seeking applications for the position of research assistant or
research fellow. The principal responsibility of the position would be
to undertake studies of informal and formal markets and to consider the
ways in which ubiquitous technologies might enhance current practice.
The successful application will join a research group that specialises
in fine-grained, video-based studies of social interaction, drawing on
ethnomethodology and conversation analysis. The duration of the
appointment is for two and half years.
Applications are welcome from those with either a background in the
social or computer sciences. Please send a CV with accompanying letter
that describes your interests in, and where relevant, experience, in
undertaking research of this type. Applications should be sent by the
16th February 2007 to Professor Christian Heath and Dr Paul Luff
