The 2007 Northern PSA Graduate Conference will take place at the
Department of Politics, University of Glasgow, Scotland, on Friday 25 May
2007.
Presentations are welcome on all aspects of politics, political
philosophy, and international relations, and panel suggestions are also
encouraged. All postgraduates, from whatever subject area within political
science/international relations and from all geographic locations are
welcome to present, or just to observe the conference.
The PSA Graduate conference is a conference organized by postgraduate
students for postgraduates. It provides an opportunity for you to present
a paper or a ‘work in progress’ in a relaxed atmosphere and to discuss
your work among your peers. It is the ideal setting to present early
stage research or fully polished papers ready for publication. The
conference also provides an ideal environment to discuss general issues
regarding postgraduate study and is a useful way of establishing contacts
with the postgraduate community in your region and in your specific field
of study.
There is no registration fee for this conference. Lunch and refreshments
will be provided. The Department of Politics, the Faculty of Law,
Business and Social Sciences, the PSA Graduate Network (PGN) and the PSA
Journal POLITICS are sponsoring the conference.
Deadline for the submission of paper proposals is Monday, 5 March 2007.
Please forward an abstract of no more than 300 words, the title of your
presentation together with your name, institutional affiliation and
contact details to the organizers Anke Schmidt-Felzmann and Valentina
Feklyunina at [log in to unmask]
For panel proposals, please include the panel theme and the names of all
presenters together with the abstracts for each paper. If you wish to
observe the conference, please contact the organizers with your name and
institutional affiliation.
Accepted presenters will be expected to submit a paper by 11 May 2007.
This need not be a polished paper, but should be a serious attempt to set
out key research questions and approaches in order to facilitate a
constructive and fruitful exchange.
Travel & Accommodation, if required, are at the attendee’s own expense.
