Tom Gregan asked me to post this in response to an enquiry from the
Architectural Association:
Edward,
In reply to your enquiry you may wish to note that The National Archives
(TNA) uses DeepStore as its offsite storage provider. The facility, a salt
mine in Winsford, Cheshire offers BS5454 environmental conditions where TNA
stores circa 30 linear km of paper and parchment records.
See attached link http://www.deepstore.com/
If you wish to discuss the matter further please feel free to contact me.

P please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to.
The Architectural Association is currently searching for an off-site,
archival storage facility to house its archive. We are very unhappy with our
current storage company and are wondering if anyone on the list serve might
be able to recommend any alternative companies or institutions? We are
obviously concerned to find somewhere that offers the correct environmental
controls, storage conditions, etc, together with easy retrieval and, of
course, competitive pricing.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Edward Bottoms
