I am trying to find some guidance on recommended lighting levels for a car
park at a hospital. The car park is outside, and the hospital is in the
middle of a residential area, and obviously there are wards and residences
for medical staff nearby. The guidance I've found seems to indicate no
more than 10 lux, but this seems very low for a hospital - the car park is
also the main pedestrian approach to the main entrance. However, I'm
concerned about recommending anything higher than this due to the problems
of light pollution.
Any ideas?
