Has anyone on list come across any research into prefered learning styles by teacher researchers?
Earlier today I filled in one of those on-line questionnaires to test my visual and temporal memory
- it was on the bbc.co.uk website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/tmt/
It suddenly struck me how far my research as a teacher is influenced by my relatively poor hearing
but very acute visual memory. Has anyone else every thought that although there's LOTs of good
research into students learning styles there is none (?) into teacher researchers' or even teachers'?
I know I can never rely just on an audio recording in case I can't decipher it later so I prefer to
video as I can lip read to supplement what I hear. I alos thik in pictues rather than sounds so I
guess that is why the KEEP Toolkit templates at http://www.cfkeep.org appeal to me so much.
I'd love to hear from anyone with thoughts on this. If you have trouble posting don't worry - there
is a strong SPAM guard on this list because it tends to get swamped with Viagar adverts otherwise!
Just send your posting to me at [log in to unmask] if it won't post directly to the list - please
allow for a slight delay as every message has to be OK'd by one of the moderators who assist us.
Warm regards,
Sarah
