Dear All
Those of you who came to the last UKI monthly meeting will remember that
I asked for sites to consider supporting "camont.gridpp.ac.uk" and
"total.vo.gridpp.ac.uk". These were the VO names as we have been asked
only to enable VOs with DNS style names from here on. Unfortunately any
of you who actually tried to enable the VOs will have soon discovered
that YAIM as currently available to production sites does not support
this naming convention!
The VOs we are trying to enable are both important industrial
partnerships and PPARC is keen to see us make progress with them. The
agreement at the PMB was that such VOs should be supported but also
encouraged to make use of resources early in 2007 before any contention
arises. Thus we have decided to enable them with old VO style names -
camont and totalep respectively. Therefore, please could I now ask you
to once again consider offering your sites support to these user
communities?
Your help is much appreciated. You will find VO details here:
https://voms.gridpp.ac.uk:8443/voms/camont/webui/config
https://voms.gridpp.ac.uk:8443/voms/totalep/webui/config
and you are encouraged to share additional information via this wiki
page:
http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/wiki/GridPP_approved_VOs (a page which we are
currently revising in the DTEAM).
Many thanks,
Jeremy
