Senior Lectureship and Two Lectureships in Sociology and Social Policy
The School is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer and two Lecturers in Sociology and Social Policy in areas that will support its 2008 RAE submission. Appointments will be made in areas associated with the research clusters identified in the School's research strategy, including the 'cross-cutting themes' of social research methods and social theory.
Our research is organised around five research Centres:
* Centre for Disability Studies (CDS)
* Centre for Ethnicity and Racism Studies (CERS)
* Centre for International Research on Care, Labour and Equalities (CIRCLE)
* Centre for Research on Family, Life course and Generation (FLaG)
* Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies (CIGS).
You will have a PhD in a relevant field and you should demonstrate an excellent record of research and scholarship depending on experience. You will be expected to contribute fully to the School's teaching programmes and to undertake administrative tasks as required.
Lecturer University Grade 8 (£32,795 - £39,160 pa) Senior Lecturer University Grade 9 (£40,335 - £46,758 pa) depending on experience.
