Dear All,
You may know that DCMI working structures changed last year to more
accurately reflect the way things actually work. Working Groups have
been re-constituted as Communities or Task Groups. Communities exist
for the exchange of information and announcements within a particular
domain of interest (such as Libraries or Education) and no longer have a
workplan or deadlines. Task Groups are constituted to carry out a
particular item of work. They may be associated with a particular
Community or be of relevance to several communities - such as Date or
Agents.
The full list of Communities and Task Groups can be seen at
http://dublincore.org/groups/
The Libraries Working Group has now become the DCMI Libraries Community.
The web pages are at http://dublincore.org/groups/libraries/ and the
Community will continue to use this email list at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/dc-libraries.html
The work of completing the application profile (DC-Lib) and submitting
it for review and registration will be carried out by the newly formed
DCMI Library Application Profile Task Group which works by means of a
Wiki at http://dublincore.org/librarieswiki/. The Task Group will also
use the existing Library email list. Mary Woodley and I are leading
this work and will be seeking volunteers to help carry it out. We are
creating a work plan at the moment and will post this shortly.
Regards,
Robina
