In addition, the conference will include poster sessions, discussion
forums, an exhibition, featuring innovative technology and solutions,
and an enjoyable social programme.
We welcome contributions which address one or more of the suggested
topics below or on other related subjects.
All full papers, which will be subject to peer review, will be published
in the Conference Proceedings in book form.
THEMES and TOPICS
The main conference title is deliberately non-specific as we are
interested contributions addressing developments or changes in all areas
of Survey Research. These may be developments in thinking, in practice
or in the challenges of developing, implementing and evaluating new or
evolving software or technology-based methodologies. We encourage
contributions that identify informative failures or omissions as well as
qualified or outright improvements.
So there are opportunities for papers to explore a wide range of topics.
Some suggested examples are:
* Managing Change / Avoiding Disaster
* Reporting and presentation of analysis, results and reports
* Mobile / Mixed Mode Interviewing
* Analysis requirements and expectations
* Online Panels – their use and management
* Developments for web based CATI
* Sample sourcing and management
* Responses to the challenges and opportunities of Web 2.0
* Developments in graphics/video etc for research purposes
* Developments in survey automation / integration
* Integrating research data with data from other sources
* Census developments
* Ethnicity issues
* Researching in global markets
* Internationalisation
* Software licensing, intellectual property, copyright protection
* Data Protection and Security
* Qualitative research
* Text processing, coding and automated classification
* Developments in language translations and comprehension
* etc ...
