It hadn't been done, but the FITS2NDF part is in CVS now.
After changing my mind more times than I care to recall, if you specify
"fmtcnv=native", not parameter TYPE as first aired, you should obtain a
scaled array (provided BSCALE and BZERO aren't absent or set to 1.0 and
0.0 respectively). This leaves TYPE free to set the unscaled type to
override the BSCALE/BZERO precision. Yes FMTCNV had been a logical at
one time and its usage was still TRUE or FALSE, hence my initial
reluctance to use it.
I hope the current arrangement is logical [(-:] for you. Having
implemented and tsted with TYPE=Native, I think it's better this way
around.
