Dear Claire,
a very timely question :) I am normally a bit hesitant to blow my own
trumpet but in this case I'll make an exception...

We are in the process of finalizing a complete toolbox for the
assessment of laterality effects in imaging data. This toolbox will run
under spm2 and spm5 and will allow exploring your data in numerous ways,
including the bootstrap / histogram analysis approach we published a
while back (Wilke & Schmithorst, NeuroImage 2006).
As yet, the main paper on this is still under review but we should know
soon; I will send out an official announcement then. If you mail me
off-list I am happy to send it to you.
Best,
Marko
