Dear SPM-List,
I have defined a fixed effect analysis on 10 subjects. I have created many
contrasts (more than 45) but, unfortunately, after defining last contrast,
I can't open anymore the SPM.mat file! (neither with the "Results" button
nor with the simple "load SPM.mat" command on the Matlab prompt. It simply
says "Error using load => Can't read SPM.mat", nothing else)
I have read a previous post, where a large analysis was run with SPM99 and
a similar problem occurred: the "xCon.mat" file couldn't be read and the
only solution proposed was to delete all and re-run the analysis.
My questions are:
1) In this case, is the only possible solution to re-define and re-run the
estimation of the model? Is there any way to read a .mat file which can't
be loaded anymore with "load" command? I woould like to verify wich field
of SPM.mat got corrupted, but, if I can't load it, I don't see any way to
check where an error occurred.
2) Could this problem be due to a limitation in the number of contrasts I
can define in SPM2? If yes, which is the maximum number of contrasts that
can be defined?
Thank you very much for any help
Paola
