in learning and teaching. It offers a wide ranging portfolio of courses
focusing on professional, vocational and authentic learning experiences.
E-Learning at Brookes has developed significantly over the last five years
and has moved from early pilots towards maturity with the majority of
students now exposed to e-learning during their studies.
This post within a project team partnership between the Oxford Centre for
Staff and Learning Development (OCSLD) and the Media Workshop, is an
exciting opportunity to join the e-learning team at Brookes to research
the reality of impact of these changes on the student experience.
Initially on a one-year fixed term appointment, the post holder will work
primarily on the Pathfinder project, funded by the Higher Education
Academy, which aims to enhance the learning experience of students and to
expand the reach of education and lifelong learning by accelerating the
development of infrastructures and practices to support social and
collaborative learning. One major goal of the project is to undertake an
evaluation of the student experience of the use of social software for
reflective learning and personal development planning.
