Yes I remember the group.
I was involved in helping set it up but due to a change in job sector I
was no longer involved in managing legal records and lost interest.
However I am now in my new post managing legal records again!
I would be interested in meeting together with like minded folk. I am
London based but perhaps if enough interest is expressed we could
arrange an inaugural meeting at the RMS Conference.
Although I manage legal records in the public sector I imagine there are
many common issues with our private sector colleagues.
As Susan mentioned lawyers come with 'their own unique set of issues and
regulations!' and it would be beneficial to share and discuss
experiences and issues.

An attempt was made about least five or six years ago to set up a London
based (RMS) group but for the life of me I can't recall who was driving
it. RMS may still have original membership details. It floundered due to
lack of take up and the person leading switched jobs I think so the
momentum was lost after two or three meetings.
Scotland recently set up a new general (RMS) group which has been
overwhelmingly successful. Perhaps timing is just better now.
ARMA has a resource list for legal professionals but not sure if they
have a group http://www.arma.org/legal/audience/index.cfm?View=Other

I was wondering if anyone knew of any groups/forums specifically for
people working in records at law firms or in the legal world. I'm sure
anyone who has worked with solicitors and lawyers knows they come with
their own unique set of issues and regulations!
Or would anyone be interesting in one if it got started up.....
replies on or off list appreciated.
Thanks
Sue
