Hello all,
I'm doing some research into 'mobile communities' and am looking for people
I may be able to contact. By 'mobile communities' I mean the way mobile
phones have affected community structures, human interaction (good and bad),
it's influence from a cultural perspective (cultural shifts) and why some
technologies work better than others etc.
Part of my task is to build a brief profile of the major events in the past
that have led to where we are now and research into modes of communication
using mobiles in the future (wireless Internet Messaging being one that is
popular).
Does anyone know where I can find the latest research being carried out in
this area or experts on this topic? One person I have in mind is mobile
communications expert at Ofcom, Professor William Webb, but a psychologist's
perspective on what 'community' in this context actually means would be
useful as well.
Any advice appreciated,
Many thanks
Cato
