Great 'humming' poem, Bob. I'd leave out the man and woman becoming ... and
the medicine man because those images reversely personify the hummingbird,
if you know what I mean. I like the hummingbird to take on its own powerful
and mysterious qualities without the pollution or corruption of humanity.
I'm not being very clear so I hope you know that I really like the poem -
those parts just distracted me from the hummingbird's 'deep image'.
And was 'Hummingbird' a BBKing hit? I seem to remember it, humming around in
the jukebox of my mind.
