Hello Everyone! How are you?

I have a starnge impression that is quite funny really that I am talking to myself on this discussion
list at present! Is there anyone out there? I would love to hear from you - I have heard from many
of our group off list - it would be good to share ideas in preparations for our BERA proposals here.

Last night I managed to meet the midnight deadline with a joint proposal for a major keynote at
BERA in September on Using Multi Media to Promote Research and Practice - I attach abstracts.
Now we are planning a keynote submission from our SIG around the CARA funded project where
boys at Bishop Wordsworth's School, Salibury are research mentoring peers towards researching
creative teaching in their lessons. You can see a background to this in Karen's abstract attached.

How did you feel about the review of Tadashi and Rieko's work I posted up - was it useful? We
decided to share reviewing when we met at a SIG get together at BERA 2006 - shall we do that?

I am setting off for a 10 day working visit to Japan this week but I can keep in touch from Tokyo
and Kobe where I'll working with teachers and nurses and researching Japanese style mentoring.

Are there any particular aspects of mentoring in Japan you would like me to report back on here?
I'll be taking part in kounai ken again which is the main form of teachers' school-based CPD there.

Warm regards to everyone - hope to hear from you soon,

Sarah
