What is it?
This day will focus on the use of Problem Based Learning projects as an
approach to media practice education. It will be an interactive day,
exploring an exciting new pedagogic frame work enabling you to think
differently about what you do and how you might do it.
Who is it for?
Do you:
• Use projects to teach film, video, sound or other media practice
subjects?
• assess the process?
• teach project management skills?
Do you want to learn:
• how to put critical thinking at the heart of media practice projects?
• shift the focus from end product to process ?
• reframe the debate around a language for media practice ?
• address the concerns of the Sector Skills Councils?
If so, then this symposium is for you.
How will you benefit from this symposium?
This is an exciting opportunity to meet other practitioners, to share and
exchange current practice and problems with the added bonus of engaging
with and helping to develop a new way of practicing media.
This event is part of a wider ADM-HEA funded research project looking at
Problem Based Learning in media practice education and is supported by
the “MeCCSA Practice Section”.
