I do not see any problem with printing an accessions register on good
quality archival paper. Keeping one in a safe on site, another one,
two or three in various places off-site.
As for authenticity guarantee, why not attach/include a signed
statement to the front of each archival copy? Surely the matter of
signing each page is a matter of splitting hairs if each page is
numbered and the entire thing is properly bound?
The future can then decide whether to trust the curator/collections
manager/registrar's record or not. Initialling each page is quite
clearly not going to help convince them of authenticity.
