(Apologies for cross posting)
The way we work has changed rapidly over the last few years and is
continuing to change. More people want the possibility of working from
home or job sharing. Do these patterns adapt well to libraries and
information centres? What difficulties does this pose for managers?
CILIP UCRG-South West will be exploring these issues and more in an
event called:
Working differently - adapting work patterns to modern life
Wednesday 14th February 2007
Plymouth Pavilions
There will be three speakers:
Mandy Russell from the University of Plymouth will be talking, from
personal experience, about career breaks.
Jane Harvell from the University of Sussex will be talking about part
time working and job sharing.
Amanda Salter from the University of the West of England will be
talking about flexible working from a manager's perspective including
some of the legal issues.
The day will include a break out session to enable group discussion.
