Records management is key to addressing the legislative and regulatory burdens on organisations. It requires a range of skills to be deployed which are not often to be found from within any one discipline.
This course explains the concepts of records management drawing on best practice and relevant standards, and provides the opportunity to put these concepts into use during hands-on exercises.

Participants will be introduced to the principles of records management and will learn through discussions, demonstrations and practical exercises how they can be applied.

Bob has been an information consultant for over 20 years following experience as an information manager in charge of library, records and data management services. In recent years he has worked extensively for central and local government on electronic document and record management projects and published a number of books on the subject.
