Dear Colleagues,
We would like to announce the creation of "Archaeologists for
Global Justice" (AGJ). This is an informal group, whose basic principles are
outlined in this web page, hosted by the University of Sheffield:
http://www.shef.ac.uk/archaeology/global-justice.html.
As you can see the web page is still in its infancy. It can and will grow with
the help of anybody keen on the existence of the group.
As a medium for communication between us we have also set up an email
discussion list, called ARCH-JUSTICE. You can find details at the following web
page, where you can also subscribe:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=ARCH-JUSTICE&X=1B45045FFDF62F70AE&Y=u.albarella%40sheffield.ac.uk.
If you prefer you can also just send an email to either Umberto
([log in to unmask]) or Sarah ([log in to unmask]) and we will
subscribe you.
As soon as we will have a good number of subscribers we will start discussing
any issues of relevance to AGJ and we will also start thinking about future
initiatives.
We very much hope of getting a good response as we are excited about the
potential that this group can have for the future. We would also be very
grateful if you could forward this message to as many potentially interested
people as possible.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Umberto and Sarah
