Worcestershire CC charge utilities.
Severn Trent made 40 million pounds profit last year, we think they can manage £50 for a HER search!

Subject: Charging for Services to Utilities
Morning everyone,
I've recently sent out invoices to Anglian Water for provision of SMR
information for works in Northamptonshire. They are clearly very
surprised by this, as the archaeological planning officer used to
provide an advice service for free. Of course we no longer have such a
planning service in the county. Does anyone else out there charge for
information supplied for utilities? I cannot see why they should not be
regarded as a commercial concern.
Chris
