We use RBS, and have a high Interest rate Deposit Account and a normal Current
Account. We monitor and move monies as appropriate between the two accounts
using Internet Banking. Money left in the Current account earns a very small
rate of interest, but we have to leave a reasonable balance in there, as our
current account balance fluctuates widely during the month (as probably does
everyone elses...)
Whatever you decide to do, IMHO Internet Banking needs to feature highly in the
equation.
