Hi Stewart
I'm looking for evidence that partnerships between substance use services (of any kind) and social work services (of any specialism) have been evaluated. So, it's not about examples of good practice and partnership working, it's about whether partnerships that do exist have actually been monitored and evaluated to find out if said partnership is actually providing improved outcomes, preferably for the client receiving the service, although happy to hear about other outcomes too.
So if your team is a) multi disciplinary or b) got close working relationships with the local mental health team or children and families team for example, and there has been an evaluation specifically about that way of working or that partnership and its outcomes, that's the information i'm looking for.
Does that make more sense? Essentially, every policy every where is saying partnership, multi agency working, collaboration etc is what we need to do. What i want is evidence that joint working between social workers and substance use professionals is benefitting a) the client and b) the agencies involved.
Thanks for thinking about this.
Sarah
