Disability Services, (Dart) is the University's dedicated service to support students with disabilities and promote inclusion. We seek to appoint a new member to join the team in order to continue to develop and enhance the service.
Identifying and assessing the educational support and IT needs of individual students with disabilities for internal and DSA purposes, you will also be the lead team member in researching and investigating new assistive software and hardware technologies to support and compliment the work of the service.
You will be required to implement and maintain a programme of services and facilities which have been designed to promote a culture of inclusion for students with disabilities, enabling them to participate fully in all of the institution's educational programmes and derive the greatest benefit from their university experience.
You should have experience of working with people with disabilities in an HE/FE environment.
For the post you should possess a degree or equivalent qualification, problem solving skills and the ability to present and communicate well both verbally and in writing. The ability to work well under pressure and believe in a fully inclusive society is also essential.
