The University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a Fixed Term Research
Fellow to work on the newly formed CJ-Quest network of the Scottish
Centre for Crime and Justice Research. The Scottish Centre is a major
collaborative research initiative involving a number of Scottish
universities, and is supported by the Scottish Funding Councils and the
Scottish Executive. Its six thematic research networks will provide an
important stimulus to criminological and criminal justice research in
Scotland. The Centre is funded for four years from July 2006 and
involves the University of Stirling, the University of Glasgow and
Glasgow Caledonian University.
Applicants may come from a range of fields, but should be able to
demonstrate that their interests, skills and experience are appropriate
to the objectives of the relevant Network. As well as a strong
background in research methods and practices you should also have a good
knowledge of the main developments in the area of criminal justice
policy, practice and research. Further details on the Centre and its
