We propose to appoint a Reader/Senior Lecturer with a primary
specialisation in Translation Studies and Translation Theory.
You should have an established reputation, an international publication
record and substantial teaching and supervisory experience at all levels.
You will have knowledge of at least one of the languages within the SOAS
remit (Asian, Middle Eastern or African languages). You will be expected to
play a key role in developing and expanding the programme of Translation
Studies at SOAS and will be active in generating research income.
You will be attached either to a language and culture department or to the
Department of Linguistics, depending upon the particular nature of your
expertise.
