We have stopped producing large amounts of printed copies of the Module
Catalogue. The Students can access the details on-line before they arrive or
from the previous semester for the continuing students. They go through a
process or "pre-advising" where they electronically select their choice of
modules. This is then confirmed at their meeting with their academic
adviser. We produce about a few copies for staff and students who find it
easier to read it this way but the numbers are minimal now and we have had
no come back from the students.
The electronic system we use is an in-house developed one but we are looking
to move over to the SITS E-Vision version if it can replace the same
functionality.
Hope this is of some assistance!
