Dear colleagues (with apologies for cross-posting),
We are delighted to announce that the Department of German Studies at the
University of Warwick has received further funding to support postgraduate
activities within our department.
In the coming academic session (2007-8) we will offer a range of
departmental postgraduate awards, including at least
one fully funded postgraduate scholarship (fees at UK/EU levels, and
maintenance), and at least one fees-only bursary.
A variety of funding packages are available for UK, EU and overseas
candidates on our
four MA programmes:
MA German Cultural Studies
MA by Research (German Studies)
MA Pan-Romanticisms
MA Translation, Writing and Cultural Difference
We also welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to
embark on a programme of doctoral research, including on the German stream
of the Doctoral Programme in European Cinema.
To be considered for an award, you should send:
(a) a letter of application outlining which programme of study you wish to
pursue and how this relates to your previous academic work. (Candidates
wishing to be considered for a PhD award should include a 300-500 word
outline of their proposed area of research).
(b) a curriculum vitae
(c) the names and contact details of two referees who can comment on your
academic performance
The closing date for completed applications is 28 February 2007.
