Hi Jackie,
I have come across this issue before, and I share your view that the issue is with the footwear itself, not the overshoe. Ordinarily someone with plantar fasciitis is under the care of a podiatrist and, if the problem is significant, special insoles are provided to wear inside the normal shoe. This should not affect the wearing of overshoes. Has the employee discussed the wearing of protective footwear (overshoes) with a podiatrist? Does the extra layer from the overshoes cause his/her feet to swell slightly? This may cause some discomfort, especially if the full shoe is made of synthetic materials.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Rita

Good afternoon,
Please is there anybody who could advise me regarding "Plantar fasciitis", in relation to wearing (rubber) safety overshoes.
The employee states: "Drawing and acheing in the bottom of foot arch" in the past when wearing the safety over-shoe.
The overshoe mearly covers the base of the feet, slipping over appropriate footwear, which is often training shoes.
My thoughts are that it is the initial footwear that is the problem.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards in anticipation.
