Dear Mirko,
for such things, and basically any arithmics on images, I find the
functions spm_vol (to obtaine a struct with one or more image handles),
spm_read_vols (to get the data in a NxMx3 or NxMx4 tensor) and
spm_write_vols (to write out the results of your arithmics to a new
image) very useful. To obtain their syntax and how to use them type
'help spm_vol' etc. When you get familiar with them the sky is the limit.
I find them much more flexible than imcalc, and you can use them in your
own code. But imcalc apparently can do similar things.
Good luck,
Bas
