This is because the software you used to unpack the distribution hasn't
put all the files in separate directories like it should have done. Try
re-installing; making sure the unpacking software has appropriate
settings.

Subject: [SPM] Conflict subsasgn
Dear SPMers,
we have problems running SPM5 with a MATLAB 7.1.0.246 (R14) Service Pack
3
release (Windows XP SP2 system).
After starting SPM5, MATLAB immediately sends the following message:
Warning: Function C:\Programme\MATLAB71\work\spm5\subsasgn.m has the
same
name as a MATLAB builtin. We suggest you rename the function to avoid a
potential name conflict.
As a consequence, my spatial preprocessing batch has a breakdown during
realignment........

SPM5 is patched with SPM_Updates_665. Since the ftp server still seems
to be
down, I could not check for further updates, but as far as I could see,
it
is still the most recent release, right?
Should we actually change the name of the function? Or would this cause
other problems?
Thanks in advance for your help,
MARCEL
