Postdoctoral opening in instrument development
Robert F. Curl of the Chemistry Department at Rice University is seeking a Post-doctoral
Fellow to do research leading to the development of a four laser-based whole chip fluorescence
imager. This imager is essential to a proposed scheme for improved DNA sequencing. It is hoped
that it will find applications in other areas such as gene expression. This position requires
extensive experience with lasers and optics. To be eligible for this position, a person must have
received the doctorate within four years of May 1, 2007. Please send a resume and arrange for two
