Subject: e-Assessment Question 2007 Conference Announcements

With apologies for cross-posting we are delighted to announce

The e-Assessment-Question 2007 Conference and Exhibition
London, 8th-9th March 2007
Novotel London Euston and Shaw Theatre
www.e-assessment-question.co.uk

Now in its FIFTH year, the e-Assessment Question is the Conference and
Exhibition examining the practical aspects of e-Assessment and Computer
Based Testing and Assessment, and its use in education, training and
professional development.

The conference this year will feature amongst a range of fascinating
presentations and papers:

* The Institute of Educational Assessors Forum 'Developing an e-Assessment
Strategy' with expert speakers and panel members, in what promises to be a
lively discussion.

* Presentations from three sets of STUDENTS of Newark FE College,
Farnborough Sixth Form College and King Edward VI Camp Hill Boys School,
showing how they use the technology to support and assess their own learning.

* Sessions on Qualifications Development covering the new Qualifications
Framework and 'Everything you wanted to know about SPECIALISED DIPLOMAS but
were afraid to ask'.

* An analysis of the role of e-Assessment in Occupational Psychology testing
and assessment.

* 'International challenges of testing across borders'.

* 'Developing an e-Assessment GCSE' and other announcements and reviews.

* Sessions on 'objective item design' and 'development of fit for purpose
assessment instruments'.

* Specialist streams lead by publishers and assessment bodies on how to gain
the benefits and avoid the risks from e-Assessment in learning and training.

Assessment inevitably sets the agenda for learning and training. Similarly
e-Assessment will define the processes, the quality, the timing and the
location for the achievement of qualifications and the recognition of
learning in the 21st century.

The conference will debate the challenge of how to make these developments
efficient, trusted and cost-effective whilst retaining the validity and
reliability of the assessments and minimising the impact on the learners and
on those delivering the assessments.

The diverse and stimulating programme at this years conference will amply
demonstrate the theme of the conference - 'Not just Technology but also
People'.

We are also pleased to announce that the Institute of Educational Assessors
(IEA) and F2L (freedom2learn) have agreed to become the latest sponsors of
the e-Assessment Question Conference. They join an impressive list of
speakers, sponsors and exhibitors discussing the most recent developments
and trends in e-Assessment, computer based testing and ICT enabled
assessment of learning.

Speakers and organisations involved include awarding bodies and professional
associations, government agencies, Learning and Skills organisations,
leading technology companies and acknowledged experts in their field.

We trust you or one of your colleagues will be able to join us for what will
certainly prove to be an invaluable and thought-provoking two days.

Full details can be found on our website www.e-assessment-question.co.uk
which includes information on discounts for those delegates from
universities, colleges and schools.
