UCL:SLAIS and the National Council on Archives are collaborating on a
research project entitled:
'Archival culture in the 21st century: the impact of the Heritage Lottery
Fund on perceptions of the roles and duties of the archive profession'.
This project will investigate how Heritage Lottery funding and the strategic
aims of the HLF have impacted upon archivists’ perception of their
professional duties by examining the extent to which the aims of the HLF are
understood and accepted within the profession and how far the receipt of HLF
funding has been responsible for a re-evaluation of core professional roles
and duties.
The project is funded by a British Academy grant and will last until the end
of the year; we are looking for a part-time Research Assistant to work on
the project from March to August. Further details about the project and the
