Subject: Re: New CoC form - query on liability section
Hi Alison,
I spoke to the SLC with regard to any formal notification for the new CoC form or issues surrounding and was told that the details are on the website and no other formal notification has been issued. Any further information would be greatly appreciated, as we are unsure of procedures also.

Subject: New CoC form - query on liability section
An query was raised with the SLC during early January - as yet there has
been no reponse. We need to resolve the issue raised as the form is about
to be used to notify LEAs of the liability queries emerging from the first
(main) 0607 ACR.
Has anyone else asked the question (see below)and actually got a response?
If so, what was the response? If not, how are you approaching the scenario
described?
This is the email that was sent to SLC 'HEI help' and later followed up by
a copy to Sue Thompson at the SLC (neither have received a response):
"I emailed the HEI help desk with regards to any reduction in fee liability
and how HEIs inform the SLC/LA's of this reduction to ensure that the TFL
is reduced appropriately.
My colleague has updated me with where this form can be found on your web
site and the associated guidance. However, looking at the form, I am
slightly confused with regards to what information needs to be reported in
the "Correct Tuition Fee amount for course" field and the "Correct Tuition
Fee Liability" field.
Should the "Correct Tuition Fee amount for course" field reflect the true
course fee, regardless of any reduction as a result of, for example,
withdrawal? Would the "Correct Tuition Fee Liability" field then reflect
any change in the course fee, as a result of, for example, withdrawal?
For example, if the course fee was £3000, but the student had withdrawn and
therefore the fee charged would now be £1000, would the "Correct Tuition
Fee amount for course" show as £3000 and the "Correct Tuition Fee
liability" field show as £1000, regardless of whether the student was in
receipt of a tuition fee grant and/or loan?"
