Dear colleagues,
I'd like to know your entrance requirements for direct midwifery training in
regard to biology, chemistry and physics.
In the current diploma training in Switzerland, at least 3 to 4 years
secondary school with biology, chemistry and physics in required before
entering. I can remember from Holland that this was an equivalent to an A-
level, but also had to include biology, chemistry and physics- as the
theoretical training build up on this.
For the new Bachelors programm in Switzerland an A- level is required, but
without these specifications, which means that if this lacks, all knowledge
should be contained in the BSc programme. I question, whether a BSc
programme should provide that.
Could some of you share what your requirements are in this regard, or how
you cope with similar problems ?
Thanks a lot !
