One PhD scholarship
The Faculty of Religious Studies & Theology at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, invites candidates to apply for a PhD scholarship. The scholarship is € 1.399 per month after tax and only available for foreign students.
Profile of the Faculty
The University of Groningen is the second oldest university in The Netherlands and was established in 1614. The teaching programmes offered by the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies have been assessed as the best in the Netherlands (2006). Its research is deemed of the highest international standard according to the latest research assessment (2006). The principal research areas of the Faculty are: Jewish and Early Christian Traditions, Ancient and Contemporary Religion, Religious Anthropology, Islam, Indian Religions, Psychology and Philosophy of Religion, the History of Modern Christianity and Spiritual Counseling. Conditions
Applicants should have a M.A. or M.Sc. degree in Theology or Religious Studies or related areas.The PhD training at Groningen is organized within the Graduate School of Theology and Religious Studies. Successful applicants must participate in the PhD-Programme of the Graduate School.
