Workshop on the analysis of criminal career data. 24 January 2008.
This one-day conference is co-sponsored by the ESRC National Centre for
Research Methods and the European Society of Criminology, and will be held
at the Royal Statistical Society on the 24th January, 2008.
This workshop explores recent developments of the analysis of criminal
careers, reviewing current work and identifying future areas for research.
Both criminological and methodological questions will be addressed. A
specific focus of the meeting will be in typologies, trajectories and
transitions; another theme relates to the testing of theory through large
criminal career datasets. Two keynote speakers - Shawn Bushway and Alex
Piquero - have been invited. The workshop will be held at the Royal
Statistical Society. and is co-sponsored by Lancaster-Warwick node of the
ESRC National Centre for Research Methods and the European Society of
Criminology. The cost of the meeting is £25 (£15 for students). More
